Why Facebook/Instagram/Messenger Are Forced Close After Clone Phone?
My Facebook/Instagram/Messenger applications are forced close after I use a clone phone to transfer all my data to a new phone. This issue is caused by incompatibility between the old and new versions of the applications. Here's what you can do to troubleshoot.
Note: Clearing data will delete all the application's data including photos and music.
1. Clear the data and cache of the applications
You can long press the App icon > [App info] > [Storage Usage]> [Clear Data] > [Clear Cache] to clear the data and cache of the applications
In some models you can follow this path to clear the data and cache of the applications : [Settings] > [App Management] > [Facebook/Instagram/ Instagram] > [Storage Usage]> [Clear Data] > [Clear Cache]. Try to log in again and if fail, do the next step.
2. Uninstall the applications and install them again. To uninstall, long-press the app and tap [Remove].
3. Restart the phone.
4. If the issue still persists, contact OPPO Support Team, or take your phone, proof of purchase and warranty card to a nearby OPPO Customer Service Center.
