What to Do When the Facebook App and Messenger Crash?

Your Facebook app keeps on crashing every time to open it or when trying to send a message. You can clear cache, uninstall/ install the Facebook app again, or check for software updates. Check the other fixed and the easy steps here!

Situation: The Facebook app on your phone crashed and stopped working.

Applicable to: All OPPO smartphones.

Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue.

1. Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [Show System Process]. Tap [Facebook] > [Force Stop]. In some devices, you may need to go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [App management] > [All] > [Facebook].

2. Clear the cache and data of the app in [Settings] > [App Management] > [Show System Process] > [Facebook] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Data] > [Clear Cache].

3. Uninstall the Facebook app from the phone and install it again.

4. Go to [Settings] > [Software Updates] to check for and update to the latest version.

5. Restart the phone.
