What to Do When the WeChat App Crashes?

Situation: The WeChat app on your phone crashed and stopped working.

Applicable to: All OPPO smartphones.

Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue.

1. Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [Show System Process]. Tap [WeChat] > [Force Stop]. In some devices, you may need to go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [App management] > [All] > [WeChat].

2. Clear the cache and data of the app in [Settings] > [App Management] > [Show System Process] > [WeChat] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Data] > [Clear Cache].

3. Uninstall the WeChat app from the phone and install it again.

4. Go to [Settings] > [Software Updates] to check for and update to the latest version.

5. Restart the phone.

If the issue still persists, contact OPPO Support Team, or take your phone, proof of purchase and warranty card to a nearby OPPO Customer Service Center.
