OPPO Care Protection Plan: Extended Warranty & Screen Protection Guide
A plain-language walkthrough of OPPO Care's protection plans for OPPO India — what each plan covers, what it costs, and how to file a claim.
OPPO Care is OPPO India's device protection program. It lets you extend your warranty and/or cover accidental screen damage on a new OPPO phone, so a cracked screen or an out-of-warranty repair doesn't turn into a surprise expense. This guide breaks down each plan, what it covers, its cost, and how to make a claim, based on OPPO's official OPPO Care terms and conditions.
Available Plans
OPPO Care is offered as three separate plans:
1. Extended Warranty Plan
- Adds 365 additional days of coverage, starting right after your device's original 1-year warranty ends.
- Covers technical and mechanical defects.
- Unlimited repairs up to the value of your original invoice, or one full replacement device.
- No processing fee listed for eligible claims.
- Available only on new devices bought through OPPO's official e-commerce channel.
2. OPPO Care+ (Screen Protect + Extended Warranty)
- A combo plan valid for 365 days from the date of purchase.
- Covers one accidental screen damage claim (cracks, drops) plus a full year of extended warranty against technical and mechanical defects.
- A processing fee of ₹499 applies specifically to the screen protection claim.
- Coverage is capped at your original invoice value.
3. One-Time Screen Protection
- A standalone plan valid for 1 year from purchase.
- Covers accidental screen damage, including cracks and liquid-related screen damage.
- Can be availed one time only, and the claim must be made within 365 days of purchase.
- A processing fee of ₹499 applies when you file the claim.
- Requires purchase alongside a new device through OPPO's official e-commerce channel.
What's Covered vs. Not Covered
Covered
- Technical and mechanical defects (Extended Warranty)
- One-time accidental screen damage — cracks (Screen Protection / Care+)
- Liquid-related screen damage, where applicable to the screen plan
Not Covered
- Accidental or liquid damage outside the scope of your specific plan
- Repairs done at unauthorized service centers
- Accessories and purely cosmetic damage
- Normal wear and tear
- Issues caused by third-party products or services
- Software-related issues
- Stolen or lost devices
- Pre-existing damage from before plan activation
- Bulk or corporate purchases
How to File a Claim
- Report the damage within 48 hours. File your claim within 48 hours of the damage occurring — claims reported later may not be accepted.
- Visit an authorized OPPO service center. Repairs done outside OPPO's authorized network void your plan coverage, so always use an official service center.
- Carry your invoice and ID proof. Bring your original purchase invoice and a government-issued ID proof — both are mandatory to process the claim.
- Collect your digital repair receipt. Once the repair is complete, the service center issues a digital repair receipt. Your device's serial number must not be altered or defaced at any point.
