Unable to Use WhatsApp and WeChat Apps on OPPO Phone after ColorOS Update 

Situation: The WhatsApp and WeChat apps on your phone keeps crashing after upgrading the ColorOS version.

Applicable to: Devices with WhatsApp or WeChat issues after upgrading ColorOS.

Perform the following troubleshooting steps and continue to the next step if issue persists.

1. Restart the phone.

2. Make sure your phone is connected to a network and able to access the Internet. Try using an Internet browser to connect to any website.

3. Clean up the caches and junk file on your phone by navigating to [Phone Manager] > [Clean Up Storage] > [Clear all].

4. Close all background running applications.

5. Clear the cache of the app in [Settings] > [App Management] > [Show System Process] > [WhatsApp]/[WeChat] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Cache].

In some devices, you may need to go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [App Management] > [All] > [WhatsApp]/[WeChat] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Cache].

6. Update the WhatsApp/WeChat app from Play Store. See How to Update Applications in Google Play Store?

7. Uninstall the WhatsApp/WeChat app from the phone and install the latest version of the app from Play Store.

8. Reset the phone system settings (this option is available with devices ColorOS 3.2 and above). Go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Backup and Reset] > [Reset to Factory Settings] > [Reset System Settings Only].
