How to Stop WhatsApp Auto-Save Photos and Videos to Your Phone?

Situation: You often receive too many pictures and videos from WhatsApp individual or group chats and you don't want those pictures mix with yours in Photos.

Applicable to: All OPPO Smartphones.

When you download a media file, it will automatically be saved to your phone's Photos app.

To stop media from all your individual chat. follow these steps:

1. Open WhatsApp app and tap [More Options ] on the top right side.

2. Tap [Settings] > [Data and storage usage].

4. Under [Media auto-download], you will see three options: "When using mobile data", "When connected on Wi-Fi" and "When roaming".

5. Tap each of these options and disable auto-downloads by unchecking all four options, Photos, Audio and Videos and Documents.

* Pictures, settings, and paths might differ from those of your phone, but these won't affect the description in this article.
