How to Fix Screen Touch Insensitivity Issues on OPPO Phone
Screen insensitivity is a common issue that affects user experience. This problem can arise from various factors, including hardware or software issues, the use of non-original protective films, or external conditions such as water, sweat, or dirt on the screen. Such unresponsiveness can be particularly frustrating, especially since we rely on our devices for everyday tasks. To resolve this issue, follow the troubleshooting steps provided below.
Improve OPPO's Screen Touch Sensitivity
Please follow the quick fixes provided to restore your device's touch functionality effectively.
Step 1: Check the appearance of your phone
Inspect your device's screen for any signs of cracks. If you find any cracks, please visit the nearest OPPO Service Center for assistance.
Step 2: Check if the phone's screen is using an unoriginal protective film
Using unauthentic protective film or screen protectors may affect the screen's touch sensitivity. It is recommended to remove the film to check if the screen is responding after removing the film.
Note: If you are using a foldable phone, please go to the nearest OPPO Service Center to help with removing the film. For more details, check out How to Replace the Main Screen Protector on My Foldable Phone.
Step 3: Check the screen for any stains
If your device's screen has water, sweat, or dirt on it, this can hinder touch response. Please wipe off any stains using a clean cloth, then check if the screen functions correctly. See How to Keep Your OPPO Phone Clean and Sanitized.
Step 4: Check systems and apps
Verify whether utilizing one app or multiple apps poses any sensitivity issues. Please download and install the most recent version of the apps through the OPPO App Store or the Google Play Store.
Step 5: Restart your phone or update it to the latest version
If the phone's system is malfunctioning, consider restarting your device or updating it to the newest version. See How to Update Software Using OTA (Over-the-Air).
To restart, press and hold the Power and Volume Up button, and then drag the slider up. Alternatively, press and hold the Power and Volume Up button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds.
Step 6: Assess environmental factors
Check whether a non-standard charger and data cable are being used for charging. Using a non-original charge can increase grid noise, which may interfere with the normal touch signal.
Inconsistent network connectivity can cause touch issues, a lack of response, and disconnections. Please check the network status when the problem occurs, then try again when the network becomes stable.
Step 7: Proceed to your nearest Service Center
If the problem persists after trying all the fixes above, it could be a hardware problem. We recommend visiting a nearby service center for further assistance.
If the abovementioned steps do not fix your concern, prepare your warranty card and contact your nearest OPPO Customer Service. You can also contact OPPO Support so we can help and assist you further with your concern. Depending on your region, you may check if you need to book an appointment before visiting your local Service Center.
