Below, we have compiled additional troubleshooting steps for you to consider. Continue reading.
Troubleshooting steps
Check if fingerprint unlock is enabled.
Go to [Settings] >[Security and Privacy] > [Device unlock] >[Fingerprint and Face Unlock], and check whether the Fingerprint is enabled. If not, turn it on, then turn off the screen and try unlocking again.
Use the original protective film.
If the protective film is not authentic, it could impact the effectiveness of fingerprint recognition. We recommend using the original protective film. If the protective film is indeed original, it is advisable to reapply it.
Check the protective film for any damage.
Examine the fingerprint area of the protective film for any signs of damage or dirt. If it is damaged or dirty, we recommend cleaning it or replacing it with a new protective film.
Check if the screen has any damage.
If you notice any damage to your device's screen, we recommend going to the service Center to have it replaced.
Delete the previous fingerprint data.
Removing the old fingerprint data and inputting a new one might resolve the problem.
Wipe it clean.
If you notice any dirt on your device, use a soft cloth to wipe the screen, then attempt to unlock it again.
Upgrade to the latest software version.
Updating your device to the recent software version could assist in resolving some issues. Go to [Settings] > [Software Update] / [About Device] to update your OPPO phone. See How to Update Software Using OTA (Over-the-Air).
