Fix the WhatsApp notification sound
On your OPPO device
To confirm whether WhatsApp notifications are turned on, Go to [Settings] > [Notification & Status Bar] > then toggle [Allow Notification Bar in Lockscreen].
In some OPPO devices: [Settings] > [Notification & Status Bar] > [Manage notifications] > [Lock screen notifications] and choose your desired option if you want [Display Title and Body] or [Do not display] and look [WhatsApp] on the list of apps below, then toggle to see notifications from it on your lock screen.
On WhatsApp
1. Make sure that WhatsApp notifications aren't muted in WhatsApp settings and each chat:
On your OPPO phone, open [WhatsApp], and at the upper right corner, tap the [
three-dotted vertical line] > [Settings] > [Notifications] and make sure that [Conversation tones] are enabled to play sounds for incoming and outgoing messages. Also, set a notification tone for Messages, Groups, and Calls to notify for any notification.
To set a notification tone: Go to [Whatsapp], tap the [
three-dotted vertical line] > [Settings] > [Notification] > Under Messages, tap [Notification tone] and select your preferred ringtone. Repeat the steps for Groups and Calls.
Open a chat you wish to receive notifications from > Tap on [
three-dotted vertical line] > Make sure it is not muted.
2. Make sure to have a strong network connection; if your phone has a bad Internet connection or is on the edge/outside of a coverage area, it may take some time before WhatsApp can reconnect to your phone and deliver notifications.
3. If the battery saver is enabled, notifications will not be delivered to conserve the battery. Make sure the battery saver mode is turned off.
4. Ensure WhatsApp is pinned to Start. If you miss a notification, you can still see an unread message count on the live tile.
• To pin an app to start: On your home screen, swipe up to see all your apps, tap [Manage]> [Select]> [WhatsApp]> [Add]
