Why Can’t I Use Touch to Share to Transfer Files to My iPhone

Some users may encounter an issue when using Touch to Share (via O+ Connect) to transfer photos or videos between an OPPO or OnePlus phone and an iPhone. During the transfer, the iPhone may display a message such as “This lite version of the app is currently unavailable in your country or region.” This article explains why this happens and provides an alternative method to complete the transfer successfully.

Why the Touch to Share Feature May Not Work

Touch to Share relies on O+ Connect and region-specific service availability. Due to policy and regional restrictions, the one-touch transfer feature between OPPO/OnePlus phones and iPhones is currently supported only in certain country or region combinations.

If your iPhone displays a message indicating that the lightweight version of the app is unavailable in your region, Touch to Share cannot be used in that scenario. This behavior is expected and does not indicate a fault with your device.

Recommended Alternative: Scan to Discover (O+ Connect)

When Touch to Share is unavailable, OPPO recommends using the scanning discovery method within O+ Connect to transfer photos or videos between devices.
