Note: Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About phone] / [About device].

Check if Airplane Mode is turned on

Make sure [Airplane mode] is turned off. You can turn it off on your OPPO Smartphone's [Control Center]: Swipe down from top to bottom of your screen > tap the airplane icon to turn it off. If you don't see the Airplane Mode icon on your Control Center, see How to Rearrange Control Center Icons.

Clear data for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the phone

Clearing the data and cache of your Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wipes your device's stored data. Doing this may fix the connectivity issues your device is currently experiencing.

  • For ColorOS 12 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Apps] > [App management] > tap on the [Three-dotted] icon > [Show system] > [Bluetooth] / [Wireless Settings] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Data].

  • ForColorOS 7.0 to 11.3: Go to  [Settings] > [App Management] > [App List] >  tap the 2-dot icon in the upper right corner > [Show System] > [Bluetooth] / [Wireless Settings] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Data].

  • For ColorOS 5.2 to ColorOS 6.1: Go to [Settings] > [App Management] >  [Show System Processes] > [Bluetooth] / [Wireless Settings] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Data].

  • For ColorOS 3.1 and ColorOS 3.2: Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [All] > [Bluetooth Share] / [Wireless Settings] > [Clear Data].

  • For ColorOS 3.0: Go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Application Management] > [All] > [Bluetooth Share] / [Wireless Settings] > [Clear Data].

  • For ColorOS 2.1: Go to [Settings] > [Application Management] > [All] > [Bluetooth Share] / [Wireless Settings] > then tap [Clear data].

Restart Wireless Router

Wi-Fi routers work like regular computers, which means they have software and hardware to make them function properly. However, these hardware and software components can experience issues from time to time due to various reasons. Restarting your Wi-Fi router may resolve any Wi-Fi router-related problems, as it refreshes all running processes on your device. Check your router's manual and follow the instructions to reset it.

Update the phone software

Updating your phone's software will optimize the functions of your device. We recommend updating your phone to the latest system version to see if this solves the problem. Go to [Settings] > [Software updates] / [System updates] or [Settings] > [About phone] / [About device] and update your phone to the latest software version.

* DO NOT root your phone yourself, for that might affect the phone’s system performance, and the warranty service will be terminated.

Reset the phone to its system settings

Go to this link to learn how to reset your OPPO phone to its phone system settings.

Note: This option is available with devices ColorOS 3.2 and above. In addition to this, this option will reset all system settings without deleting any data or media files.

Perform a factory reset on the device

If the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity issue still occurs, you might consider resetting your device to its factory settings. Performing a factory reset will remove all your data from your phone and revert it to its original state when you first purchased it. We recommend you do the previous methods we mentioned before opting for this option.

Back up and transfer your data, then perform a factory data reset. Go to this link to learn how to factory data reset your OPPO smartphone.

Note: Factory data reset will completely WIPE all the data on your phone. Before erasing all data, always make an external backup of your device because data cannot be restored once you wipe the device.
