Troubleshooting Guide for Photos-taking Malfunction
Fault Phenomenon
Blank screen when taking photos/videos; Blurred screen when taking photos/videos; Focus Malfunctions; Inverted Portrait; Unable to turn on Camera; Abnormal switch between front camera and rear camera; Bright dot/black dot while taking photos/video; Face not recognized/recognized failed; Fuzzy Photos;
Troubleshooting Method
1. Blank screen when taking photos/videos; Blurred screen when taking photos/videos; Focus Malfunctions; Inverted Portrait; Unable to turn on Camera; Abnormal switch between front camera and rear camera; Bright dot/black dot while taking photos/video; Face not recognized/recognized failed;
1.1 Suggest the customer restart the phone and reenter the camera;
1.2 Suggest the customer clear the data of camera(Settings-Apps Management-Show System Processes-Camera-Storage Usage-Clear Data/Cache)
1.3 Confirm whether the software has been updated to the latest version; if it is, please upgrade the phone to the latest version(Path: Settings- Software Updates)
1.4 If it cannot be solved, please suggest the customer backup all the data in the phone and reset the phone;
1.5 If the problem cannot be solved, suggest the customer bring the Purchase Invoice, Warranty Card and the phone to the nearest OPPO customer service center for further detection and repair; After receiving the faulty phone, the service center firstly handles the fault according to the above steps;
1.6 If the fault still recurs, flash the phone for the customer;
1.7 If the problem has not been solved, please test the camera function in the engineer mode(Path: Input *#899# in the dialing keypad-Camera-Camera test); If the function is defective, please reassemble the camera lens;
1.8 If the fault still cannot be solved, cross-validate the mainboard and the camera.
2. Fuzzy Photos
2.1 Suggest the customer clean the surface of the camera lens; If there is dirt inside the camera lens, please suggest the customer send the phone to OPPO service center for cleaning.
2.2 Please suggest the customer take the picture after focusing the object, because the fuzzy photos may result from the un-focusing camera;
2.3 Confirm whether the user's hand is shaking or the object is moving, because the camera cannot form a gathering point, resulting in blurred and unclear photographs;
2.4 Confirm whether the photos have been taken from the long distance, since the digital zoom will generate hot pixels and blurred photos when magnifying;
2.5 Suggest the customer take pictures with the flashlight on or under sufficient light circumstance;
2.6 Please cross-validate the phone according to the troubleshooting method for Blank screen/ Blurred screen;
3. Bright/dark dot on the screen
3.1 Confirm whether there is bright dot or dark dot in other interfaces; If there is, it might be result from the faulty screen; In this case, please suggest the customer send the phone to OPPO service centers for further processing;
3.2 Suggest the customer clean the surface of the camera lens; if there is dirt inside the camera lens, please suggest the customer send the phone to OPPO service centers for cleaning.
3.3 Please cross-validate the phone according to the troubleshooting method for Blank screen/ Blurred screen;
