Plugged-In Earphone Cannot Be Detected By OPPO Phone
An earphone is one of the essentials you need to have while you're out besides your OPPO phone. You can listen to music whenever you want to without disturbing others. However, there are some instances when your OPPO phone might not recognize the earphones you plugged in. Below are the steps you need to do if your OPPO phone cannot detect your earphones. Read on!
Note: Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].
Earphone not detected on OPPO phone
Perform the steps below if your plugged-in earphones cannot be detected.
Check if the issue is with the earphones or your phone.
Try another pair of earphones on your phone, or plug in your current earphones with another device and see if neither works.
Check for loose connections.
Remove the phone casing if there's any, and make sure the earphones connector is plugged in all the way.
Check the earphones.
Make sure the earphones are a fit for your phone. Some third-party earphones may not be supported.
Check if the connector on your earphones is not bent or broken and the cables are not damaged.
Check the earphone jack on the phone.
Check for debris/lint accumulation or damage in the earphone jack using a flashlight. If there is debris or any damage, visit the nearest OPPO Service Center for cleaning. In some cases, the earphone jack could be tight, especially in new phones. Apply small pressure to plug the earphone into the jack.
Adjust the volume.
Make sure the media volume is not set to mute and test play audio. Use the volume up and down buttons to make sure they're working.
To adjust the volume, press the Volume Up and Down. Or go to [Settings] > [Sound & vibration] and toggle the slider to the desired volume.
Check other connected accessories.
Check if your OPPO phone is connected to a Bluetooth headset or car stereo in [Settings] > [Bluetooth] and disconnect from your phone.
Restart the phone.
Press and hold the Power and Volume up buttons for at least 8 seconds or until you see the OPPO logo.
Perform Routine tests.

Back up and transfer your data, then perform a factory data reset.
