My SIM Card Cannot Be Detected on my OPPO A92
SIM cards are tiny chips inserted into your phone that lets you send text messages and make or receive a call. It is one way of connecting with your loved ones. But if your OPPO A92 prompts "Invalid SIM," "No SIM Card Inserted," or cannot be detected, it might cause a stir while you're trying to reach your contacts. So here are simple steps on how you can troubleshoot them below.
SIM card cannot be detected
If your OPPO A92 is having trouble detecting your SIM card, it might be due to incorrect insertion. However, if you have properly inserted the card and are still facing issues, you should check if the SIM card or the card slot is damaged or broken. It is also possible that your SIM card has been disabled or that the software of your OPPO A92 is damaged.
Restart your phone
To reboot, press and hold the Power button and the Volume Up button for at least eight (8) seconds.
Check your SIM card
Turn off your phone and take out the SIM tray using the SIM ejector that comes with the phone. Check if the SIM is in the correct position or if it is damaged
Clean the SIM slot
If it is dusty or has dirt in it, gently wipe the contacts or used compressed air to remove it.
Try another SIM card
If your other SIM card works, it would tell you that your old SIM is defective, or if not, then the error is within your phone.
Turn on the Airplane Mode
Swipe down to see the Control Center and tap the [Airplane Mode] icon. Wait for at least 30 seconds and tap [Airplane Mode] again to turn it off. If you can't see the Airplane Mode icon, see How to Rearrange Control Center Icons.
Enable SIM Card
To enable it, go to [Settings], tap [SIM & Mobile Network], then tap the SIM you wish to enable, then toggle [Enable].
Clear the storage cache
To clear the cache, on your home screen, tap [Phone Manager], then tap [One Touch Optimization].
Reset your phone to factory settings
To reset to factory settings, go to [Settings] > [Additional settings], then tap [Back up and reset] > [Erase all data (factory reset)], and tap [Reset system setting only]. See How to Factory Reset an OPPO Phone.
Note: This will not delete any of your data or media files. It will only reset the phone to the original system settings.
