Notice for slow network speed with JIO SIM card

Background

Recently we get feedback that our devices with JIO SIM have issue of slow network speed when playing video or downloading and transmitting the files. The notice is shown as follow.

Solution

1. [Cause]
JIO operator has made adjustment from previously no speed limit of free 4G data traffic per day to now when no speed limit of free 1G data traffic per day. When the data exceed 1G, the network speed will be limited to 128Kbps, so that when user feel slow network speed, it means the data have exceed 1G and the speed is limited to 128Kb.
2. [Solutions]
  1. Download MyJIO APK and login to check Plan Benefits in homepage, or enter setting—MyPlan to check the current SIM service plan, shown as image:
    
  1. Click Balance in MyJIO homepage, enter into Usage page to check the used data for the day, or enter desktop---information---check the MSM from operator to remind user when the data exceeding 1G
    1. When the used data not yet reach 1G and no message that remind user to slow down the network speed, then try to make confirmation:
    2. Is it only a certain app or website that has slow speed issue? If yes, then the issue is caused by that certain app or website.
      Check if the signal strength is weak and not unstable, if yes it may be caused by poor signal that cover that area, call the JIO operator to help.

Q1: My JIO SIM has slow network speed when using JIO SIM card?
A1: Hello, please check your device according to the following:
  1. Check via MyJioAPP the daily data, if it already exceed the limitation, if yes, then the network speed will slow down
  2. Check if just certain APP or website has this issue, if yes, then it has nothing to do with the system
  3. Check the signal strength whether it is week and unstable, if yes, that move to a place where has better signal or contact operator for help.
