Connection And Sharing Options

  • Go to: [Settings] > [Connection & sharing].

There are many options available in the Connection and sharing option:

  • Airplane mode: Airplane mode is a setting on smartphones that disables all wireless communication functions, including cellular networks, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. When activated, it prevents the device from sending or receiving calls, texts, or mobile data. This feature is primarily designed for use during flights to comply with airline regulations, but it can also be useful in other situations where you want to conserve battery life or limit distractions.

  • Personal hotspot: A personal hotspot is a feature that allows your smartphone to share its mobile data connection with other devices, such as tablets, laptops, or other smartphones. By enabling the personal hotspot feature, your device transforms into a mini Wi-Fi router, allowing other devices to connect to the internet through your phone's data network.

  • VPN: A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, is a technology that creates a secure and encrypted connection over a less secure network, such as the Internet. It provides privacy and anonymity by masking your IP address and encrypting your data. This means that when you use a VPN, your online activities are hidden from your Internet Service Provider (ISP), government entities, and potential cyber threats.

  • Private DNS: Private DNS, or Private Domain Name System, is a feature that allows you to use a custom DNS server instead of the one provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Essentially, DNS servers translate website names into IP addresses, enabling your device to access websites and online services. By using a private DNS, you can enhance your online privacy, and security, and potentially improve browsing speed.

  • Android Auto: Android Auto is a mobile app designed to enhance the driving experience by providing a simplified interface for using your smartphone while on the road. It allows you to connect your Android device to your car's infotainment system, enabling you to access apps and features safely while driving.

  • Multi-Screen Connect: Multi-Screen Connect is a feature that allows you to link your OPPO smartphone to a Windows PC for a more integrated experience. With Multi-Screen Connect, users can access and manage their smartphone's notifications, calls, messages, and even photos directly from their PC. This feature makes it easy to receive and respond to messages without picking up your phone and allows you to share your screen or files seamlessly between devices.

  • Link to Windows: The "Link to Windows" option on your smartphone allows you to connect your OPPO device directly to a Windows PC, creating a more integrated experience between the two devices. With this feature, you can access and manage notifications, messages, calls, and even photos directly from your computer. This means you can receive and respond to messages without having to pick up your phone, which enhances productivity and convenience.

  • Screencast: The screencast feature on smartphones allows you to mirror or cast your phone's display to a larger screen, such as a TV, monitor, or projector. This enables you to share your phone's content—like photos, videos, presentations, or even games—with a group of people or simply enjoy it on a bigger screen.

  • Print: The print option on a smartphone allows you to send documents, photos, or other content directly to a printer wirelessly. This feature typically supports various printing methods, including Wi-Fi printing, Cloud Printing, Mobile printing apps, etc.

  • Quick Connect: This feature allows your device to instantly discover and connect to nearby devices.

Note: These features depend upon the device that you are using and can vary in each device model. You can check if the same features are compatible with the device.
