How to Use Nearby Share in OPPO Phones
There are various ways such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB, to share files from your OPPO phone to another OPPO phone or any other smartphone. But, a new feature added to the ColorOS makes file sharing even quicker and easier. It is "Nearby Share", which allows you to share documents, music, photos, videos, and more with another smartphone that supports Nearby Share. It uses a combination of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi direct technologies to establish a fast and secure connection between devices. With its seamless functionality and cross-platform compatibility, it is an excellent addition to any modern device, making file sharing with friends and family more effortless than ever. Applicable to: Devices with ColorOS 7 and above. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone]/[About Device].
How to Enable Nearby Share
For ColorOS 13 and above:
Go to [Settings] > [Google] > [Device and Sharing] > [Nearby Share] > Enable [Device visibility]
For ColorOS 7 & ColorOS 11:
[Settings] > [Google] > [Device Connections] > [Nearby Share] > Enable
How to Use Nearby Share
Select the File you want to share, you can share files from apps such as File Managers, Photos, Videos, Music, APKs, etc.
Tap [Send]/[Share] and then tap [Nearby Share]. Turn on Bluetooth, Location, and Wi-Fi before sharing.
The device will show you the list of devices* available near you. Tap the device you want to share the files with.
Accept the file sharing on the other device.
After acceptance, the files will be shared.
Note: Devices with ColorOS 6 and below can use OPPO Share and FTP to share files with other devices.
