There are multiple ways available to transfer files from OPPO phones to other smartphones, such as OPPO ShareBluetooth, and FTP. Now, Quick Share makes it easy to connect and share, whether you're sending a file from your phone to your tablet or sharing photos with friends and your family. It's a secure, efficient way to transfer data, keeping you connected and saving you time. Quick Share is here to make sharing easy, so you can focus on the moments that matter.

Applicable to: Devices with ColorOS 3.2 and above. Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].

How to enable Quick Share

  • Go to [Settings] > [Google] > [Quick Share], tap [Who can share with you] and select from the options. Once done, you can adjust the settings, such as your device name and visibility.

Note: Quick Share can be accessed from the Control Center or the share menu while sharing a file. If you cannot see the Quick Share/Nearby Share icon in the Control Center, see How to Rearrange Control Center Icons on OPPO Phone. Moreover, some functions require a Google account to be logged in to your phone.

Control Center

Note: This feature is available for devices with ColorOS 5.2 and above. Moreover, the other device should also support nearby share and should be enabled to share or receive files. Make sure it is supported and enabled.

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Control Center.

  2. Tap [Nearby Share] / [Quick Share] from the quick actions menu, tap [Turn on] and select who can share with you from the options.

  3. Ask the sender to choose your device from the devices list.

Benefits of using Quick Share

  1. Works with any Android smartphone: You can share and receive files from your OPPO phone to any Android device.

  2. Files can be shared both online or offline: Your device will show a list of devices nearby you with which you can share content. Once you select the receiver from the list, the receiver will get a prompt to accept or decline the file. Nearby share automatically chooses the best method for fast and easy sharing using Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy, WebRTC, or peer-to-peer WiFi. This way, you can share the files even when fully offline.

  3. Share files with Privacy: Nearby Share allows you to both send and receive files anonymously without exchanging contact information. You can also adjust your visibility from the quick settings. You can be “hidden” visible to “some contacts” or visible to “all contacts” so you never receive files that you didn’t ask for.

Note: Please note that Quick Share is formerly known as Nearby Share.
