How to Make VoLTE Calls with OPPO Phone
VoLTE, or Voice over LTE, lets you make high-quality voice calls while staying connected to mobile data. This means you can talk on the phone and still browse the web, play games, or stream music at the same time—without switching to a slower network. In this guide, you’ll learn how to check if your OPPO phone supports VoLTE and how to enable it using your phone’s settings.
Note: Applicable only to OPPO phones that support VoLTE function. If your device does not support VoLTE, the [Enable the VoLTE voice call function] / [VoLTE Calls] option will NOT appear. In addition to this, to use VoLTE, your SIM card and mobile plan must include VoLTE support, and the feature must be available in your area. Please contact your mobile network provider to confirm compatibility, and reach out to OPPO Support to check regional availability.
What Is VoLTE and Why Use It
VoLTE stands for Voice over LTE. It uses your 4G LTE network to make calls instead of the older 2G or 3G networks. This gives you:
Better call quality (HD voice)
Faster call setup
The ability to use the internet while on a call
Things to Check First
Before enabling VoLTE, make sure:
Your OPPO phone model supports VoLTE.
Your SIM card and carrier plan include VoLTE support.
VoLTE is available in your region.
How to Enable VoLTE function
Some carriers turn on this feature by default. You can check how to enable the VoLTE function using the path below.
For ColorOS 12 to ColorOS 13 and above: [Settings] > [Mobile network] > choose a SIM card > enable [VoLTE calls].
For ColorOS 11: Go to your OPPO smartphone's [Settings] > then tap on [SIM card & mobile data] > choose a SIM card > activate [VoLTE Calls] by toggling the enable/disable button.
For ColorOS 5.0 to 7.0: Go to [Settings] > [Dual SIM & Cellular] / [SIM card & mobile data], select one SIM card and enable [VoLTE Calls].
Why You May Not See the Option
If you can’t find the VoLTE setting:
Your phone model may not support it
Your SIM card or carrier may not offer VoLTE
VoLTE may not be available in your current location
