How Do I Use My Registered Email to Unlock My OPPO Phone
Forgetting your lock screen password can be stressful, but OPPO offers built-in ways to help you regain access. If you’ve previously linked a security email address to your phone, you can use it to reset your passcode quickly and securely. This guide walks you through how to unlock your OPPO device using your registered email and what to do if your ColorOS version no longer supports this feature.
Recover the OPPO phone's lock screen passcode/password
If your device supports this feature and a security email is already linked, follow these steps:
On the lock screen, tap [Forgot Passcode] or [Forgot Password].
Enter the registered security email address linked to your device.
Follow the on-screen instructions to verify your email and reset your password.
How to bind the security email address
Go to [Settings] > [Fingerprint, Face & Passcode] > [Lock Screen Passcode] and enter the lock screen passcode.
Tap [Bind to a Security Email Address].
Enter the email address and tap [Bind].
Once you enter your email address, a verification code will be sent to the email. Enter the code on your phone and tap [Done]. You can set a new lock screen passcode.
After completing these steps, your security email will be linked to your device, allowing you to reset your password if you forget it later.
Reset Your Password Using the Security Email
Once your email is linked:
On the lock screen, tap [Forgot Password].
Enter your bound email address.
Follow the prompts to receive a verification code and create a new passcode.
If the abovementioned steps do not fix your concern, prepare your warranty card and contact your nearest OPPO Customer Service. Depending on your region, you may check if you need to book an appointment before visiting your local Service Center.
Notes:
Unfortunately, you cannot recover your password for OPPO phones that run on ColorOS 7.0 and above. We understand your concern regarding this. However, we in OPPO don't store your data, such as your password, for privacy concerns.
Your privacy password will be saved in a security module and cannot be tracked via the system or apps.
