Can I Register/ Bind My Overseas Phone Number to My HeyTap Account If My Phone is from China?

 

Situation: You bought your phone from China and wondering if you can register HeyTap account with an overseas phone number.

Applicable to: ColorOS 3.0 and above devices purchased from China. Some services may require ColorOS 5.0 and above, please check directly on your phone. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone].

*HeyTap ID/OPPO ID are terms that can be used interchangeably.

OPPO devices that are purchased from China will only accept local China phone numbers to register or bind the number to your HeyTap/OPPO account.

However, customers can register an overseas phone number from the HeyTap website, and then log in on the China device with the bounded overseas phone number.

 

Steps to register and use Heytap/OPPO ID using overseas phone number on the China customized device:

1. Open a browser, then manually type in HeyTap Cloud/OPPO Cloud website URL: https://id.heytap.com

2. Tap [Register an Account].

3. Select the overseas region of the SIM card you are using and enter the phone number.

4. Tap [Get Code] and drag the slider to match the image. A verification code will be sent to your phone.

5. Enter the code to complete security verification. 

6. Add a password.

7. Read the 'Account Use Agreement and Account Privacy Statement' and select to agree.

8. Tap [Register]. Once registered,  you can log in to your HeyTap/OPPO account on your phone.
