Enable Quick Access Album Bar in OPPO
OPPO's operating system, ColorOS 11 devices are loaded with multiple features. The Photos app brings features such as automatically converting HEIF(High-Efficiency Image File Format) images to JPG when they are shared, autoplay videos, AI Palette, photos editor, and many more to improve the user experience. One such feature is Quick Access which is added on the primary page of the Photos app. It allows you to access Videos, Favorites, People and locations quickly. So, now you can quickly access the videos folder and favourites with a single tap. You can also access your friends and family's photos with the People tag. People is a feature that uses facial technology to identify the person in the pictures or combine those with similar facial features, then group pictures of the same person together. Applicable to: OPPO devices with ColorOS 11. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone].
Quick access album bar
The quick access bar is available for the default Photos app.
Enable quick access bar
Open [Photos] from the home screen or app drawer.
Tap [
] icon.
Tap [Settings] > and enable [Quick Access to Albums] to get the quick access bar.
Note: With the Quick access feature, you can access the multimedia files on your OPPO smartphone's [Photos] application under:
Videos
Videos stored on your phone will be shown here.
Favourites
To add a video or a photo to your [Favorites]: Open [Photos] or [Video] > Select the photo or video to be set as a favourite> tap on the heart icon to add it to your [Favorites].
People
ColorOS uses AI to automatically detect human faces in an image and makes an album for each person. It can be accessed from the [People] tab in the Photos app.
Places
To add a video or photo to the [Places] tab, you must enable your OPPO smartphone's location: Open the status bar by swiping from top to bottom on your phone's screen > Tap on the [Location/ GPS] icon to enable it.
Note: AI Palette feature is available in devices with ColorOS 11.3.
