Why is the Message Notification Still Showing Even if the Number is Blacklisted on My OPPO Phone?

 

Situation: The blocked message notification appears even after blacklisting the contact.

Applicable to: ColorOS 7.0 devices. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone].

It is normal for the blocked message notification to appear in the Notification panel, however the blocked message will not be displayed in the Messages app. When you tap the blocked message notification, you can view the blocked message under Blocked Messages.

Alternatively, you can also view the blocked message in the [Messages] app > Tap the 2-dots icon  in the upper right corner > [Block & Filter] > [Blocked Messages].
