Hide Message Content on OPPO Phone's Notification Bar
In some OPPO phones, you have the option to hide the details and contents of your messages on your lock screen or the notification bar, ensuring privacy for your conversations. Follow the step-by-step guide we created for you below! Read on!
Note: Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].
Not all OPPO phones have this feature. Some only have "not display the lock screen notification". Please refer to the actual product.
Hide message content
If you want to manage your lock screen: Go to [Settings] > [Notification & Status Bar]. Once you are on the [Notification & Status Bar], the way to hide message details on the lock screen varies per ColorOS or phone model. Check your ColorOS version through [Settings] > [About phone].
For ColorOS 14.1 and above :
Go to [Settings] > [Notification & Status Bar] > [Hide notification details on Lock screen]
For ColorOS 14.0 :
Go to [Settings] > [Notification & Status Bar] > [Lock screen] > [Lock screen notifications] > [Do not show]
For ColorOS 7.1 and above:
Go to [Settings] > [Notification & Status Bar] > [Manage Notifications] > tap the [Messages] app or any third-party messaging app > then tap on [Message Notification] > [Display on Lockscreen] > [Hide Content While Displaying].
For ColorOS 6.1 and 7.0:
Go to [Settings] > [Notification & Status Bar] > [Manage Notification] > [Messages] app or any third-party messaging app > [Message Notification] > [Display on Lockscreen] > then select [Hide Content While Displaying].
In some ColorOS 7.0 to 7.2 phones: Go to [Settings] > [Notifications & Status Bar] > [Incoming messages] > and tap [Lock Screen].
