OPPO phone unable to connect to Wi-Fi connection
There can be many reasons that may be leading to your OPPO phone not connecting to a Wi-Fi connection. To troubleshoot this issue, follow the path provided:
Check if you are connected to Wi-Fi
Make sure that your OPPO smartphone is connected to a Wi-Fi network. See How to Connect OPPO Phone to Wi-Fi.
Find the Wi-Fi icon on the home screen
If the Wi-Fi icon is not showing on the top right portion, you might be out of range from the Wi-Fi network. Move closer to the router if the Wi-Fi icon will show.
Turn off the Airplane Mode
Make sure that your OPPO smartphone's Airplane Mode is turned off:
Go to [Settings] > [Airplane Mode] and tap the slider to turn it on.
You can also swipe down from the top of your screen to open Control Center, then tap on the [Airplane] icon.
Force restart your phone
Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons to force restart.
Restart wireless router
Check your router's manual and follow the instructions to reset it.
Still can't connect to a Wi-Fi connection
If you still can't connect to a Wi-Fi connection after trying the abovementioned procedures, then you might want to try these out:
Update Wi-Fi settings on your phone
Outdated Wi-Fi settings might be the ones potentially causing your Wi-Fi connection issues. Make sure that you updated your settings through the following paths:
For ColorOS 12 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Apps] > [App management] > tap on the [Three-dotted] icon to access additional settings > [Show system] > search for "Wireless Settings" > [Storage usage] > [Clear data].
For ColorOS 7 to 11.3: Go to [Settings] > [App management] > [App list] > tap on the two dots on the upper right corner of your screen to access additional settings > [Show system] > search for "Wireless Settings" > [Storage usage] > [Clear data].
Try the Wi-Fi network on other phones
Try to connect to this Wi-Fi network on other phones. If other phones fail to connect to this Wi-Fi network, contact your network operator for help.
Connect your OPPO phone to another Wi-Fi network
Try connecting your OPPO smartphone to another Wi-Fi network; if your connection is successful, then double-check the following factors on the previous Wi-Fi network you're trying to connect:
See if the Wi-Fi network password you've input is correct.
See if there's a limit to the devices connected to the said Wi-Fi network.
Check your router or cables
Check if your router has serious abrasion, aging, corrosion, or mechanical damage, and ensure it is connected to the modem (ensure each cable is connected firmly and not damaged). Restart the router and try to connect to the Wi-Fi network again ten minutes later.
Update your phone's software to the latest version
Software updates not only update the operating system but also add new features, improve the performance of existing features, patch known security vulnerabilities, and fix known bugs in the software and built-in applications. A bug might be potentially causing your problem with your device's vibrate feature, and updating your phone to the latest software might fix it. See How to Update OPPO Phone to the Latest Android Software.
If the abovementioned steps do not fix your concern, prepare your warranty card and contact your nearest OPPO Customer Service, you can also contact OPPO Support so we can help and assist you further with your concern.
