OPPO A74 5G is Unable to Connect to Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi helps devices be connected wirelessly to the Internet using radio waves. Using Wi-Fi on your OPPO A74 5G or any smartphone is proven to be cheaper and makes your phone run more efficiently in the long run than relying just on a cellular network. However, there may be some time wherein you'd encounter issues with regards to connecting to a certain Wi-Fi connection. OPPO A74 5G is unable to connect to a Wi-Fi connection

Wi-Fi connection problems can be pretty frustrating, that's why in this FAQ we'll delve deep into the solutions on how you could deal with this issue. Follow the presented methods below and see if these will resolve the said issue:

Force restart your phone

1. Hold down its [Power Button] and [Volume Up Button] at the same time. Don't release it until your phone boots up.

   

2. Connect it to a Wi-Fi connection if its' not connected yet. Go to [Settings].

3. Tap on [Wi-Fi].

4. Toggle your Wi-Fi on and off, and then input the password if asked.

5. Check your notification bar if it has this icon , then you're good to go!

6. If you can't see this icon, you might not be in your Wi-Fi router's range. Move closer to your Wi-Fi router and see if it will resolve the issue.

7. Restart your router. You may check your router's manual and follow the instructions on how to reset it. You may also call your internet provider for further assistance. 
   

   
   

Forget your Wi-Fi

1. Go to [Settings].

2. Tap on [Wi-Fi].

3. Tap on this icon  beside your Wi-Fi connection's name.

4. Select [Remove the Network].

5. You will be asked again if you're sure that you'd want to disconnect from your current Wi-Fi connection, tap on [Remove].

   

6. After you've removed it, go to the Wi-Fi Networks available, and then select the Wi-Fi connection you're using.

7. Tap on it and then input the password for you to be able to connect to it.

If it's still not resolved

1. Grab a different phone and try connecting to the Wi-Fi connection you're connected to. If it doesn't work as well, then you have to contact your internet provider immediately for further assistance.

2. Check the cables of your router. Make sure that it's not damaged; if you suspect that it is, contact your internet provider immediately to know what to do.
   

3. Restart your router, wait for 10 minutes before you turn it back on.

4. Reset your OPPO A74 5G to its factory settings.

• To factory reset, go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Back Up and Reset] > [Erase All Data (factory reset)].
