Why Am I Unable to Receive Notifications on My Fitbit?
Situation: Your Fitbit smartwatch is not getting the notifications sent from your phone.
Applicable to: ColorOS 3.2 and above device. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone].
Your Fitbit device can receive notifications from your nearby phone to keep you informed, including calls, texts, meeting alerts, and app updates. Follow the steps below your device fail to receive notifications from your OPPO phone.
1. Check your phone.
Your phone must be within 30 feet of your Fitbit device to receive notifications.
You won’t see text notifications if you have the conversation open on your phone. Your Fitbit device shows new, unread texts.
2. Check if the smartwatch app and phone software version are up to date. See Updating the Latest Software? Made Easier with these Steps.
3. Turn off the Do Not Disturb, Quiet Time, or Do-Not-Disturb Driving modes on your phone. The notifications will not come through if you turned on these settings.
4. Go to [Phone Manager] > [Privacy Permissions] > [Startup Manager] and toggle on the Fitbit application to allow the Fitbit app to receive notifications in the background.
5. Press the multi-task or recent task key and swipe down the app to lock in the background.
6. Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [Fitbit] > [Power Saver] and toggle on [Allow Running In The Background].
7. Restart the phone.
8. Unpair and re-pair both devices.
9. Clear the Fitbit app data and cache from [Settings] > [App Management] > [Show System Process] > [Fitbit] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Cache] > [Clear Data].
In some devices, you may need to go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [App management] > [All] > [Fitbit] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Cache] > [Clear Data].
10. Uninstall and reinstall Fitbit app and ensure to enable settings in Steps 4,5 and 6.
