Troubleshooting a Fitbit not syncing with My OPPO Phone

You may have one or two Fitbit watches where you learn how to sync your Fitbit to your phone using their guide but it isn't working. If your Fitbit is continuously syncing or facing sync problems, try out this troubleshooting guide to see if it could be a settings-related issue. For Fitbit not syncing situations, you may also reach out to Fitbit or OPPO Support for further assistance

Check out our troubleshooting steps below to see how to connect your Fitbit to your phone.

Situation: Your Fitbit smartwatch is not syncing with the Fitbit app on your phone.

Applicable to: ColorOS 3.2 and above device. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone].

Troubleshooting Fitbit

Check if the following requirements are met before moving on to the troubleshooting steps:

  • The Bluetooth setting on your phone is on. To check, tap [Settings] > [Bluetooth].

  • Your software on your phone is up-to-date. To check, go to [Settings] > [Software Updates].

  • You have location services turned on and the Fitbit app has permission to access your location. To allow the Fitbit app to access your location, go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [Fitbit] > [Permissions] and toggle on [Location]. For more information, see Why Does the Fitbit App Require Location Access Permission?

  • If you use more than one device to sync, make sure the other device isn't nearby. If the device is nearby, turn off Bluetooth on it.

  • Your phone isn't managing other Bluetooth connections. If you have multiple Bluetooth products like speakers or headsets paired to your phone along with your Fitbit device, you may have trouble using more than one at the same time. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.

  • Your Fitbit device's battery is not critically low.

If your Fitbit device still won't sync, try these steps:

1. Force stop the Fitbit app in [Settings] > [App Management] > [Fitbit] > [Force Stop] and then reopen the Fitbit app.

2. Go to [Settings] > [Bluetooth] and turn Bluetooth off and on again.

3. Restart your Fitbit device. For instructions, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

4. Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app.

5. If your Fitbit device won't sync after you reinstall the app, log in to your Fitbit account on a different phone, tablet, or computer and try to sync.

6. If your Fitbit device still doesn’t sync, remove all other Fitbit devices from your account and from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your phone and try to sync.

If the issue still persists, contact OPPO Support Team for assistance.
