What to Do if the NFC in My OPPO Phone is not Working
If the NFC (Near Field Communication) feature on your OPPO smartphone suddenly stops working, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the issue. NFC is a useful technology that allows for contactless payments, quick file transfers, and other convenient functionalities. When it’s not functioning correctly, it can be inconvenient, especially if you rely on it for day-to-day activities. Follow these steps to restore the functionality of NFC on your OPPO device.
Steps to Troubleshoot and Fix NFC Issues
Turn off and on NFC again in [Settings] > [Other Wireless Connections] > [NFC].
Restart the phone. Press and hold the Power button and Volume Up button for more than 10 seconds.
Clear the cache and data for NFC Service in [Settings] > [App Management] > [Show System Processes] > [NFC Service] > [Storage Usage] > [Clear Cache] > [Clear Data]. Go to this article to know how to clear the cache of the apps in your OPPO phone Clear Cache and Cookies in OPPO Phone
Remove phone case. The third-party protective cases might be blocking the NFC radio signal.
Hold the NFC enabled devices close to one another. This is because NFC uses electromagnetic induction to send and receive data over radio waves.
Go to [Settings] > [System Updates] or [Software Updates] to check and update your phone's software to the latest version.
Reset the phone system settings (this option is available with devices ColorOS 3.2 and above). Go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Backup and Reset] > [Reset to Factory Settings] > [Reset System Settings Only].
Note:
This option will reset all system settings without deleting any data or media files.
If the issue persists, contact OPPO Support Team, or take your phone, proof of purchase and warranty card to a nearby OPPO Customer Service Center.
