What to Do if Ringtone Plays on the Receiver of OPPO Smartphone
When using applications like Zalo, Messenger, or others for making calls, you might notice that the ringtone of incoming calls plays through the receiver instead of the speaker. This can be inconvenient, especially if you prefer to hear the ringtone loudly or are away from your phone. Continue reading to understand why this happens and how you can fix this issue to ensure your ringtones play through the speaker as expected.
What you should do when a call ringtone plays from the receiver
This is the design of the Android operating system. When your call via Zalo or Messenger is in receiver mode, the incoming call's ringtone will come from the receiver. Vice versa, if your call via Zalo or Messenger is on speaker mode, the ringtone of the incoming call will come from the speaker.
Hang up the call
Try hanging up the call first and see if it fixes the issue next time your phone rings.
Force restart the phone
Press and hold the Power button and Volume Up button for more than 8 seconds to restart your device or until you see the OPPO logo.
Update the phone software
Go to [Settings] > [Software updates] / [System updates] or [Settings] > [About phone] / [About device] and update your phone to the latest software version.

Reset the phone system settings
