What to Do if App Stops Responding, Quits, or Won't Open
If your apps are crashing, freezing, or not opening on your OPPO phone, you may need to update the application to fix the bugs that can cause the app to crash, freeze, or not open. To know more about troubleshooting steps to solve the issue, keep reading below.
Fix apps not working on OPPO phone
Before starting, make sure that you are connected to a stable network. Kindly follow these steps to help solve the issue on an app that won't respond, quits, and just won't open.
Restart your OPPO phone
Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons for at least 8 seconds or until you see the OPPO logo.
Clear the data and cache of the Play Store
For ColorOS 12 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Apps] > [App management] > Find [Google Play Store] > [Storage usage]> Tap on [Clear data] and [Clear cache].
For ColorOS 7.0 to 11.1: [Settings] > [App Management] > [App List] > Tap
Icon > [Show System] > Search for the App > [Storage usage] > [Clear Data].
For ColorOS 5.0 to 6.1: Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [Show System Process] > Search for the App > [Storage usage] > [Clear Data].
For ColorOS 3.2: Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [All] > Search for the App > [Clear Data].
For ColorOS 3.0: Go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Application Management] > [All] > Search for the App > [Clear Data].
For ColorOS 2.1: Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > Search for the App > [Clear Data].
Update the app

Reinstall the application
If the mentioned steps did not fix the concern, uninstall the application, and reinstall it again: Go to [Play Store] on your home screen, then tap your [Profile] icon at the top right and tap [Manage apps & device], then tap or slide left to [Manage] and tap the app you want to uninstall and tap [Uninstall].
* Alternatively, on your home screen, look for the application you want to uninstall tap and hold the app, and tap [Uninstall].
Check if your phone has an available update
Go to [Settings] > [Software Update] / [System Updates].
On some OPPO phones: Go to [Settings] > [About device] > And then update your software/ system.
