OPPO's Wireless Emergency Alerts feature
Since technology is developing fast, some smartphone users have emergency alerts to share public information with many people in times of a threat or disaster. This wireless emergency alert extends its help to the community by sending you the details through your mobile phones.
The following are OPPO smartphone's Wireless Emergency Alerts:
Extreme threats - Extreme threats to life and property
Severe threats - Severe threats to life and property.
AMBER alerts - Child abduction emergency bulletins.
Test alerts - Receive carrier alerts and monthly tests from the safety alert system.
Turn on/off Wireless Emergency Alerts
For ColorOS 12 to ColorOS 13 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Safety & Emergency] > [Wireless emergency alerts] and toggle [Allow alerts] to enable/disable. Or toggle the switch to green to enable the alerts you want to receive.
For ColorOS 11: Go to [Settings] > [Security] > [Wireless emergency alerts] > and toggle [Allow alerts] to enable/disable. Or toggle the switch to green to enable the alerts you want to receive.
For ColorOS 7: Go to [Settings] > [Security] > [Emergency alerts settings] and toggle the switch to green to enable the alerts you want to receive.
Check Emergency Alerts history
There are two ways to check the Emergency alert history.
Method 1: Settings
For ColorOS 12 to ColorOS 13 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Safety & emergency] > [Emergency alert history].
For ColorOS 7 to 11: Go to [Settings] > [Security] > [Emergency alerts history].
Method 2: Google Messages app
Open the [Messages] application and tap your profile icon at the upper right corner > [Messages settings] > choose a SIM > [Wireless emergency alerts].
