Merge and Fix in Google Contacts
Google Contacts has duplicate contacts suggestions feature that automatically detects your matching contacts, either their names, numbers, or email addresses. With this feature, you can polish your duplicate contacts easily and add additional information if you want to. Another option for merging your contacts is that you have the freedom to choose which contact you want to merge by selecting them from your list without any suggestions from this feature.
Merge duplicate contacts
On your phone's home screen, go to the [Google] folder and open the [Contacts] application and tap [Organise] > [Merge & fix], then tap *[Merge duplicates].
To merge a single duplicate contact, tap [Merge].
To merge all the duplicate contact suggestions, tap [Merge All].
