Unable to Reset the Lock Screen Password in ColorOS 7
Once you forget the lock screen password on your ColorOS 7.0 to 7.2 device, you may not be able to reset it in the "Forgot password" option due to Android's safety mechanism. Note: Available only for ColorOS 7.0 to 7.2 devices. Check your phone's ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].
How to Reset Lockscreen Password on ColorOS 7 to 7.2
If your OPPO device is running on ColorOS 7.0 to 7.2, it does NOT support resetting lock screen passwords due to Android's safety mechanism.
Go to your nearest OPPO Customer Service Center and prepare your warranty card. You can also contact OPPO Support so we can help and assist you further with your concern. Depending on your region, you may check if you need to book an appointment before visiting your local Service Center. Phone data will not be retained.
