How to Set Screen Lock Password in ColorOS 14

Nowadays we have really important data which should not be accessed by someone else without our permission. To maintain our privacy and keep our data safe from others we can set passwords on our devices. You have multiple options like numeric password, Alphanumeric password, Pattern, Face lock, and fingerprint to lock your device. Follow the article below to learn how to can set the password on your ColorOS 14 devices.


Applicable to: ColorOS 14. Check your ColorOS in [Settings] > [About Device].


How to Set Screen Lock Password

  1. Go to [Settings] > Select[Security and privacy]

  2. Tap [Device unlock] > [Screen lock]


There are three types of Lock screen passwords:-

1. Numeric password: Enter 4 to 16 digits to set your Lock screen password. 

2. Alphanumeric password: Enter a 4–16-digit password that contains both numbers

3. Password: Connect at least 4 dots to create as your Lock screen password.


How to Set Fingerprint and Face lock

  1. Go to [Settings] > Select[Security and privacy]

  2. Tap [Device unlock] > [Face and fingerprint unlock]

  3. Enter your lock screen password and you can choose from Face and fingerprint
