For ColorOS 15 to ColorOS 16 and above
Go to [Settings]
Tap [Security & privacy]
Select [Device unlock]
Tap [Screen lock]
Choose your preferred password type: Numeric, Pattern, or Alphanumeric

For ColorOS 12 and ColorOS 14
Go to [Settings]
