How to Change the Lock Screen Password on Your OPPO Phone
Your lock screen password helps protect your personal data and prevents unauthorized access. If you still remember your current password and simply want to change it, you can do so directly in the settings. The steps vary depending on your ColorOS version.
How to Change Your Lock Screen Password
ColorOS 14 and Above
Go to [Settings]
Tap [Security & privacy]
Select [Device unlock]
Tap [Screen lock]
Enter your current password
Choose a new password type (Numeric, Pattern, Alphanumeric) and set your new password.
ColorOS 12 and ColorOS 13
Go to [Settings]
Tap [Password and Security]
Select [Lock Screen Password] and enter your current password
Under Modify Password, choose your preferred password type
Set and confirm your new password.
ColorOS 7.0 to 11.3
Go to [Settings]
Tap [Fingerprint, Face & Password] or [Password & Biometrics]
Select [Lock Screen Password]
Enter your current pattern or password
Tap [Modify Password]
Enter your old password, then create and confirm your new password.
Notes:
Always remember your lock screen password. If the password is forgotten, you will not be able to unlock your device or export any data stored on it.
