How to Change App Lock Password
Have you mistakenly unlocked your device's privacy password in front of a friend and now they know your password too? App Lock is one of the best privacy features available in ColorOS. Locking an application restricts access from other users as it requires a separate password from your lock screen password. If you have already set up the app lock and want to change the password then this article will be able to help you. Follow the article below to learn how you can change the privacy passcode
Applicable to: ColorOS 11 and above. Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone]/[About Device].
How to Change App Lock Password
For ColorOS 14
Go to [Settings] > [Security and privacy] > Select [More security and privacy] > Tap on [Privacy password].
Enter your privacy password > Select [Change Password] > Enter old password and then the new password twice to verify
For ColorOS 12 and ColorOS 13
Go to [Settings] > [Password & security] > Select [Privacy password] > Enter privacy password > tap on [Change password] > Enter your old Password > Create a password and enter it again to verify.
Note: After following the above settings your privacy password will be changed.
For ColorOS 11
You can use the below two methods to change the app lock password:
Go to [Settings] > [Privacy] > [App Lock] >[Enter App Lock]/[Privacy passcode] > [
]> [Settings] > [Change privacy password settings] > [Change password] > Enter the old password > Enter the new password and re-enter the new password to confirm.
[Settings] > [Fingerprint, face & password] > [Privacy password] > [Enter App Lock]/[Privacy passcode] > [Change password] > Enter the old password > Enter the new password and re-enter the new password to confirm.
With these tips, you can change and modify the App lock password in ColorOS 11 and above devices.
