We have easy troubleshooting steps that can help you resolve this issue. Read on to find out what to do if you can't change your lock screen wallpaper.

Note: Check your ColorOS version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].

  • The availability of Theme Store may vary per country/ region.

Unchanging lock screen wallpaper

By default, you can set a custom image as the lock screen wallpaper on your phone. However, if you are using third-party lock screen applications or themes with a lock screen style, you would probably not be able to change the lock screen wallpaper.

Check the version of the Theme Store

Ensure the Theme Store is up to date with the latest version, then repeat the steps to apply a lock screen wallpaper.

Check for network interruptions

An unstable network may interfere with executing the changing of the lock screen wallpaper.

Clear the cache of Theme store

  • For ColorOS 12 and above: Go to [Settings] > [Apps] > [App management] > [Theme store] > [Storage usage] > [Clear data] > [Clear cache].

  • For ColorOS 7.0 to ColorOS 11: Go to [Settings] > [App management] > [App list] > [Theme store] > [Storage usage] > and [Clear data] > [Clear cache].

  • For ColorOS 5.0 to ColorOS 6.1: Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [Theme store] > [Storage usage] > and [Clear data] > [Clear cache].

  • For ColorOS 3.1 and ColorOS 3.2: Go to [Settings] > [App Management] > [All] > [Theme store] > [Storage usage] > and [Clear data] > [Clear cache].

  • For ColorOS 3.0: Go to [Settings] > [Additional Settings] > [Application Management] > [All] > [Theme store] > [Storage usage] > and [Clear data] > [Clear cache].

Choose the lock screen option

Remember to select the lock screen option when applying themes from the Theme Store.

Turn off the Lock Screen Magazine function

Close the lock screen magazine and enable it again. After that, retry to apply the theme.

  • Go to [Settings] > [Home screen & Lock screen] > [Lock Screen Magazine].

Restart the phone

Press and hold the Power button and Volume Up button for more than 8 seconds or until you see the OPPO logo.

If the abovementioned steps do not fix your concern, prepare your warranty card and contact your nearest OPPO Customer Service. You can also contact OPPO Support so we can help and assist you further with your concern. Depending on your region, you may check if you need to book an appointment before visiting your local Service Center.
