Unable to Receive Text Messages from Apple Devices

Noticing that you are not receiving SMS or MMS text from your Apple iPhone friends? Turns out, Apple has an iMessage function where most Android devices face an issue with receiving texts. However, this is not considered a major issue as there is a way to allow Apple devices to send normal texts! All you need is your Apple friend's cooperation to change their settings!  If they agreed, continue reading to learn how to turn off iMessage and send regular texts to other Smartphone users!

This issue may be occurring because messages sent to you from Apple devices (e.g. iPhone, iPad, etc.) could still be coming to you as iMessages instead of standard text messages.

To avoid this, you need to turn off iMessage for your mobile number.

If you still have your Apple device, you can turn off iMessage on your Apple device:

1. Go to [Settings].

2. Tap [Messages].

3. Tap or slide the switch next to [iMessage] to turn it off.

If you don't have access to your Apple device, you can turn off iMessage online through Apple's website:

1. Go to the Deregister iMessage page on Apple's website.

2. Scroll down to the "No Longer Have Your iPhone?" section.

3. Select your country from the drop-down list.

4. Enter your 10-digit mobile number in the [Phone Number] field.

5. Click [Send Code].

6. When you receive the text message with the 6-digit confirmation code, enter the code in the [Confirmation Code] field.

7. Click [Submit].
