Did you know with Gboard on your device, you can now send messages or type in a different language? This can automatically translate any sentence you type into the language of your choice. This feature allows you to translate any language on the go without using the Google Translate application. Follow the article below to learn more. 


Applicable to: Devices with Gboard. 

 

Translate As You Type

  1.  Firstly, make sure the Gboard is uninstalled & update. Click here to install or update Gboard.

  2. Open the app you want to type with and tap the text area.

  3. At the top of the keyboard, you'll find the features menu. Now, tap the [].


  4. Choose the language that you want to translate from.

  5. Choose the language that you want to translate into.

  6. Now, start typing. You'll get a preview as you type.

  7. Now tap the [Tick Icon] to select the translated text.
