The Screen Does Not Turn Off during Calls on My OPPO A54

If you're not familiar with it, a proximity screen sensor is a function that helps saves the battery power and prevents you from any unintentional activities while you're on a call. The Proximity screen sensor on your OPPO A54 is at the upper part of the screen near the earpiece.
Here are some of the reasons why your Proximity screen sensor may not work.
Unsuitable cases
Your screen protector is covering it.
Hardware sensor failure or software failure.
Troubleshooting steps:
1. Remove your phone case and screen protector.
If you have a phone case inserted on your phone, you may need to remove it along with the screen protector
2. Restart and update your OPPO A54.
Restart your OPPO A54 by pressing the [Power] button and [Volume Up] at the same time.
Check if there's an update by going to [Settings] > [Software update].
3. Check if your phone has issues.
Go to the [Tools] folder on your home screen and tap [Phone Manager] > [Quick Check] > [Continue]. Unselect all the detection except for the [Sensors] and tap [Run diagnostics] and follow the instructions on the screen.
After the Quick checking through your Phone manager and the result turned as Error or unable to detect the problem, you may need to go to your nearest OPPO Customer Service Center with your proof of purchase and warranty card for further assistance.
