If You Don't Want an Application to Access Your Phone Contacts
Social networking and messaging apps often require access to your contact list so you can add friends from your contacts. If you don't want an application to access the Contacts on your phone, you can set the permissions of the application and disable the contacts access. Here's how to disable the contacts access on your phone.
Applicable to: All OPPO smartphones.
Disable the contacts permission
For ColorOS 7.0 and above. Go to [Phone Manager] > [Privacy Permissions] > [App Permissions] > [Permissions] > [Contacts] and toggle off the switch to forbid the contacts access for the apps.
For ColorOS 5.0 to 6.1. Go to [Phone Manager] > [Privacy Permissions] > [Privacy Permissions] > [Read Contacts], tap the app and choose [Forbid] from the options.
For ColorOS 3.1 and 3.2. Go to [Phone Manager] > [Privacy Permissions] > [Permissions] / [App Permissions] > [Read Contacts], tap the app and choose [Forbid] from the options.
For ColorOS 3.0 and below. Go to [Security] > [Privacy Permissions] > [App permission management] > [Read Contacts], tap the app and choose [Forbid] from the options.
Note: You can do the same steps if you don't want an application to Read your SMS, Use Camera or Access Location Information.
