How to Use the OPPO HeyTap ID/OPPO ID Account
Have you ever wondered what Heytap ID is or if you have an OPPO Account? Well, HeyTap ID is formerly known as OPPO ID, and these terms can be interchangeably used. Having a HeyTap ID or OPPO ID gives you credentials to enjoy features and services such as HeyTap Cloud/OPPO cloud on an OPPO device. Register as a new user for HeyTap/OPPO ID
Follow the presented steps and path to learning how to register as a new user to HeTap/ OPPO ID:
To register your email address
Go to [Settings] > [Sign in to your HeyTap ID/OPPO ID] > tap [Register]. You will be asked to register using your email address or mobile number, then tap [Next].
After entering your email address, you’ll be asked for security verification in a captcha; type the characters, then a verification code will be sent to either the email address or the mobile number you’ve used to register, then tap [Next].
You’ll only be given 60 seconds to input the sent verification code. If 60 seconds is done, tap [Resend] to get a new one.
After successfully entering the verification code, you’ll be asked to create a passcode and tap [Get Started].
HeyTap Cloud/OPPO Cloud
As an OPPO user, you’ll be given free 5GB of cloud storage. Just toggle [Turn On HeyTap Cloud/OPPO Cloud] to green and tap [Continue]. See What is HeyTap Cloud/OPPO Cloud Service? to know more about the HeyTap Cloud/ OPPO Cloud.
HeyTap ID/OPPO ID Credentials
You can input your personal information and a photo of your HeyTap ID/ OPPO ID. All you have to do is go to [Settings] > tap on your account > edit the information you want to change.
How to put a profile picture
Tap
, then tap either [Select Photo] / [Take Photo] / [Use Omoji] to add an image.
Note: The OPPO Omoji is only available for ColorOS 12 and above devices.
How to manage other information
Tap [My Info] / [My profile], then tap each information you want to input.
Nickname – input the nickname you want to show on your HeyTap/OPPO ID. Your nickname will be displayed when you post comments or threads in Game Center, App Market, or other apps. Tap [Save] once you’ve decided on your nickname.
Name – You can input your given name and family name. This won't be visible to other users, so no need to worry about it. It’s only you who can see your full name. Tap [Save].
Gender – You can set your gender or cancel it. Gender will be invisible to others. It's only you can see it.
Birthday – You can set your birthday or cancel it. The birthday will be invisible to others. It's only you can see it.
Display name – In some OPPO phones, you can edit your display name or the name displayed when you post comments or threads in "Game Center," "App Market," or other applications.
To manage Account, Passcode, and Contact
Tap [Sign-In & Security], then tap each information you want to add. For security purposes, each action at this stage will require verification from the email address or mobile number you’ve used to register on HeyTap/ OPPO ID.
Mobile Number/ Phone Number – The phone number you will input can also be used to log in to HeyTap ID/OPPO ID, reset your passcode, and verify your identity. Choose the country of the SIM that you are using, input the phone number, tap [Send], and then wait for the verification code to arrive on your phone. Input the verification code, then tap [Bind].
Email address – You may change the email address from here or add one when using a Mobile Number to register on HeyTap ID/OPPO ID. Wait for the verification code to arrive at your email address. Input the verification code, then tap [Bind].
Emergency contact/ Recovery Contact – Once an emergency contact is added, it will be used as a verification whenever you reset your phone or sign in to Find My Phone as a security measure. Just input the names and mobile numbers or email addresses, follow the security question, verify the contact number by sending the verification code, and tap [Next].
Third-Party Accounts for Sign-In/ Link Third-Party Accounts- Link accounts like Google and Facebook to your HeyTap ID/ OPPO ID.
Password Management – You can either change the passcode using the current password to verify and change or reset the Passcode using the phone/email verification codes.
Change Password – enter the old one, input the new password you want, verify, then tap [Save]. You can also tap [Forget Password] to direct you to reset the password.
Reset Password - Just input your new passcode, re-enter, and tap [Save].
To exit HeyTap ID/OPPO ID
Just tap [Sign out].
If you already have an HeyTap ID/OPPO ID account
Just go to [Settings] > tap on the account > and then type in the [email address] and enter the passcode, then tap [Sign in].

Note:
For HeyTap ID/OPPO ID or HeyTap Cloud/ OPPO Cloud Registration using China models overseas, customers must only register with a China mobile number and bind a China mobile number to OPPO ID/ OPPO Cloud only.
