Forgot HeyTap or OPPO ID Password
If you’ve forgotten your HeyTap ID or OPPO ID password, don’t worry. You can easily reset your account credentials by following a few simple steps on your OPPO smartphone or through the official HeyTap website. This guide will walk you through how to recover your account using the “Forgot Password” option.
What Is a HeyTap or OPPO ID
Your HeyTap ID, also known as OPPO ID—is your personal account used to access various OPPO services such as data backup, app management, and phone syncing. If you’re locked out of your account, recovering access is essential to continue using these features.
Before You Begin
Make sure you know your:
Bound mobile number or email address used during account setup.
ColorOS version of your OPPO device. You can check this by going to [Settings] > [About Phone] or [About Device].
For ColorOS 7.0 and Above
1. Open [Settings].
2. Tap [Sign-In].
3. Tap [Sign in with Google] or [Use phone number].
4. Tap [Forgot Password?].
5. Enter the mobile number or email linked to your account
6. Tap [Next] and wait for the verification code via SMS or email.
7. Enter the verification code.
8. Set a new password (must be 6–16 characters and include at least two of the following: numbers, letters, or symbols).
9. Tap [Save] then [Done].
10. Use your new password to log in
For ColorOS 6.0
Try logging in and enter the wrong password.
Tap [Forgot Password].
If you’ve set up fingerprint unlock, place your finger on the sensor.
If you’ve linked an email address, enter it and tap [Done].
Follow the instructions to reset your password
For EU Devices Running ColorOS 13 and Later
Some OPPO phones sold in Europe no longer include a built-in sign-in option. In this case, follow these steps:
1. Visit the → HeyTap official website
2. Click [Forgot Password?].
3. Enter your bound email address or mobile number
4. Submit the verification code sent to your inbox or SMS
5. Reset your password and log in again
Reset Using Email Verification (If Available)
On some OPPO devices, you can reset your password directly through email:
Go to [Settings] > [Sign in].
Tap [Forgot Password].
Enter your bound email.
Tap the password reset link in your inbox to create a new password.
Notes:
Passwords must be 6–16 characters long and contain at least two combinations of numbers, letters, or symbols.
The HeyTap ID is also used in certain apps like HeyTap Health, which will redirect you to the same reset options.
