How to Fix Screen Off Gestures Not Working on OPPO Phone
Screen off gestures are actions performed while the display of your OPPO device is turned off. This feature allows users to perform quick operations by drawing specific gestures. It can be used to turn on or off the screen, launch the camera, switch on/off the flashlight, and more. However, if the feature is not functioning properly or seems unresponsive, we provide detailed troubleshooting steps to fix the issue and help improve your device's functionality.
Troubleshoot Screen-Off Gestures Issue
Check the third-party wallpaper app or security app
If you've installed a third-party wallpaper application, it's advisable to uninstall or turn off the app first and then try again. Certain third-party apps monitor the phone's lock screen, resulting in screen gestures becoming unresponsive.
Check the screen of your device
Carefully examine your device's screen for any stains, as these may affect the touch sensitivity of the device. If there are any stains, we suggest wiping the screen with a clean cloth and trying to draw the gestures again.
Restart your device
Restarting could help fix minor glitches on your device. Just press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons for at least 3 seconds, and drag the slider up to restart. Alternatively, press and hold the Power and Volume Up button simultaneously for at least 10 seconds.
Factory reset your device
Your device may experience certain issues like app crashing or delays in navigating the device, and some of these issues can be solved by doing a factory reset. Before that, please make sure to back up all the data because once the factory reset operation has started, it cannot be revoked. For more information, How to Back Up Your OPPO Phone.
