How to Enable or Disable Caller ID Announcement on Your OPPO 5G Phone
⚙️ How to Enable or Disable Caller ID Announcement
Follow these steps to adjust the Caller ID Announcement settings:
Open the Phone app on your OPPO device.
Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
Select Settings from the dropdown.
Tap on Caller ID Announcement.
Choose from the following options:
Always – The phone announces incoming calls every time.
Only when using a headset – Announces calls only when connected to Bluetooth or wired earphones.
Never – Completely disables call announcements.
🔍 Why Caller ID Announcement May Be Enabled Accidentally
The setting is located deep within the Phone app’s menus, making it easy to overlook.
A user might turn it on while exploring call settings and forget about it later.
This can result in the phone unexpectedly reading out contact names or numbers aloud.
If you notice this happening and want it turned off, the above steps will help you regain control of your call alerts.
