How to Connect an OPPO Phone to a Television
Are you aware that you can now easily cast your phone screen onto your TV using OPPO's Screencast feature? It's true! You can enjoy watching movies from your OPPO phone on your TV without needing an HDMI cable. Wirelessly connecting your OPPO smartphone to your television is now hassle-free. For more information on how to use this feature, check out the simple guide we've created below.
Applicable to: All OPPO Smartphones that support the Screencast feature.
Connect your OPPO phone to your television even without an HDMI cable or adapter
Currently, OPPO phones do NOT support *HDMI screening, which can allow devices to output video. To cast your phone screen on TV, use the Screencast feature (also known as Multi-Screen Interaction or Screen Mirroring) on the OPPO phone. Another way to connect your phone and TV is with Chromecast.
"Screencast" relies on the PC Connect service, which requires the following permissions to provide services for you:
Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (to search for display devices).
Access Wi-Fi networks (to cast media to a display device).
Access the network (to provide help and feedback functions). Your settings and behavioral data might also be collected to help us improve our services.
Use the microphone (to access system sounds and stream them to a display device).
Access location information (to obtain the media projection status).
Read the phone state (to wake your phone screen when you get a call while "Screen-off casting" is being used).
* The "Read phone state" permission is granted by the system by default and cannot be revoked.
To connect your OPPO Smartphone to your television:
Drag down [Control Center] > look for [Screencast] > tap it and wait for your OPPO smartphone to search for your television. Ensure that your phone and your TV are connected to the same internet connection.
Go to [Settings] > tap on [Connection & sharing] > [Screencast] > then turn it on by toggling on the [On/Off] Button / [Search for display devices].
The Screencast is also known as screen mirroring, multi-screen interaction, or screen casting. Please refer to the product manual of the display device.
