Note: Check your Android version in [Settings] > [About phone] / [About device].
Using Android Auto
Android Auto connects your phone to your car display and requires a data plan on the phone for the feature to work.
Follow the steps below to connect your smartphone to your car’s display through Android Auto.
Check your car’s compatibility with Android Auto. Make sure your car or stereo is compatible with Android Auto.
Check your phone’s Android version in [Settings] > [About phone]. Android Auto is supported on OPPO phones running Android 5.0 and uses a mobile data plan. If you have Android 9 or below, get the Android Auto app from Google Play Store. With Android 10, Android Auto is built in—so you don’t need the app to get started.
Turn on your car and unlock your phone's screen.
Open the [Android Auto] application.
Connect your phone to your car display with a USB cable and tap [Accept] to agree to the terms, if prompted.
Turn on [Bluetooth] for apps that require audio, like phone calls or media streaming. Otherwise, it is not required to turn on Bluetooth for Android Auto as there is nowhere near enough bandwidth in Bluetooth to run Android Auto.
After set-up, depending on your car, either the phone will automatically connect, or the Android Auto app icon will appear on your car display. Select [Android Auto] on your dashboard display to start using it.
