How to Download Android Auto App on OPPO Phone

The Android Auto app allows users to explore many helpful apps from their OPPO phone that are compatible with cars like Hyundai, Mazda, and Kia. With this, you can utilize control features like navigation, music, calls, and texts to focus better on the road. Now, the OPPO phone has an Android Auto app available for download in the Google Play Store. To ensure you are making the most of this app, check the Android Auto Updates and more below!


Note: Available only for Android 8 and above. Check your Android version in [Settings] > [About Phone] / [About Device].


Download the Android Auto app

There are two ways to get the Android Auto application. Follow the presented methods below to know how to install it on your OPPO smartphone, in case you don't have it yet:


Method 1

On your OPPO device, go to [Settings] > [Google], then tap [Android Auto]. You will then be guided to get the app that is available on the Play Store, just tap [GET THE APP] to download or read more about it by tapping [LEARN MORE].

  • In some OPPO phones, go to [Settings] > [Connection & sharing] > [Android Auto].

Method 2

Download the Android Auto app directly from the Play Store. On your phone's home screen, tap the [Play Store] app, type and search Android Auto, and tap [Install] to download the app.

Navigation

You can get real-time traffic alerts, accidents, avoid hazards, and provide faster routes. You can also see the nearest restaurants, hotels, and other famous landmarks for a quick break or stopovers. You have an option to use Google Maps or Waze.

Media

Enjoy listening to your favorite music or binge on your favorite audiobook especially when you are on a long drive. You can even ask your Google Assistant to make a playlist and queue your favorite soundtracks from your favorite media apps.

Messaging

Your Google Assistant will help you call numbers from your list of contacts, chat using your favorite apps, read your messages aloud and text back while keeping your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.

Voice Control

Since you can use Google Assistant, you can just say ā€œOk Googleā€ and focus on the road and hands on the wheel while your voice helps you along the way when driving.

Note: For other compatible cars, you may long press the voice control button on your steering wheel.
